1. Even Religious Colleges Exploit Their Adjuncts!
As you may know, Margaret Vojtko was a long-time adjunct who died penniless and uninsured. For me one of the more shocking parts of the story was that she worked at Duquesne University, a Catholic institution. This prompted me to write an opinion piece about the use (and abuse) of adjuncts at Jewish institutions. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

David Simon, creator of The Wire, speechified on Marx and the American system. His ideas are a bit vague, but it’s worth a look.

3. I ♥ Australia!
Someone in Australia bought a copy of Adjunctivitis, where they refer to adjuncts as “casual academics.” Whoever you are, thank you.

4. The Wrong Image!I realize that the above image has little to do with the previous points (except for Adjunctivitis being set in L.A.). It’s just that it’s freezing in New York and I keep having to remind myself why we came back here.
